Dear friends, I have been following this forum for a long time.
I am a big dreamer and a Ferrari lover.
I want a california model as my first ferrari.

I found incredibly good prices for 2010 models in the Emirates and Dubai.
Prices in Europe are not below 70,000 euros. Maybe a few euros lower.
In Dubai prices goes from 225.000 aed, whcih is 55.000 eur.

The question is whether it is easy to register this car in Europe, because European countries are looking for a Euro specification. Some of these cars are gulf spec, as I search. But there is also some with euro spec.

Don't buy second hand Ferraris from emirates. They are usually heavily overused in the worst ways possible.

If you purchase a car out of Dubai, and something goes wrong, what recourse do you have? Is there a local independent Ferrari mechanic? If it were, if you can swing 55K euros but not 70K euros, I would save for a bit longer, and get one closer to home. Good luck...T

I was also looking at Dubai for my 1st Ferrari but did not do it for the following reasons:
    - Dubai : HOT + sand = very bad for the engine, paint etc
    - you need to pay import duties + VAT (30% of the car price)
    - you need to pay for the shipping

All together it was not worth it. Germany has plenty of Ferrari's for sale at very good prices.
