Shot a video recently with Richard Stein known here as "Tax Dr." who was gracious enough to let me go along in his brand new California on his first real drive. His story could be an inspiration for many Ferrari owners and enthusiasts.

Feel free to share comments and ideas. No charge to sign up on vimeo. I chose vimeo because of the higher grade HD but will eventually put it all up on youtube as well.

    Thanks,

Captivating video. Thanks for posting. What are his three other Ferrari? The only comment I have is that I would edit out the wind noise if possible. Very professional looking video though.

His others are the Enzo seen in the video, the Scuderia 16M, and a 599 which I believe he just sold or is about to sell.

Wind noise is a major problem. You need a really thick windjammer on the mics which is too big for a hand held camera. I'm looking into a mounting option from inside the car and from near the back of the car closer to the intake outlets. Wind noise is definitely the biggest challenge with these shoots.

I'm happy he ended up taking delivery of her as that is definitely a car one must drive to fully appreciate. He never gave me the impression of any disability/tremors whatsoever in person; very glad to hear he's doing as well as he is considering. Richie is one in a billion :)

If you haven't already, you can also check out "The Beast", video of Richard's Ferrari Enzo.

Unfortunately it will be in the shop for repair work for some time so I don't think he will have it on the road or be bringing it to the local meetups until the Spring.

I used to be the owner of a 1991 Ferrari 348 TS. Now I have a wife and four kids, and a picture of my old car on the wall in my office. (AHH.. Glory Days)

I'm still on the list for the Ferrari Owners Club and got an email today with the link above. Great Story. It was no Enzo, but I too enjoyed letting people sit in and rev the engine on my Ferrari. One neighbor kid with Muscular Distrophy was about 15 years old when I took him for a ride over to his high school. We laid down about 200 feet of rubber in front of the school, and then I made him get out and I took his picture in front of the car with the school in the background. He told me about the other kids not believing him until he showed them the picture. I got as much out of doing that for him as he did.

    Stay Strong Tax Dr.

Wierd, works fine on mine and I don't have any account... Maybe you're missing some drivers or plugin.
