Ferrari Caravan down to Concorso Hartford?

During the motorcade a YOUNG kid in a silver 308 came around the final corner trying to act cool and totally oversteered and went into a spin. Myself and two friends were standing on the sidewalk right in the idiots path and we had to basically runs for our lives. He flew over the curb at a 45 degree angle, went across the sidewalk, and up a grassy hill where a guy and his two kids were nearly hit as well but the JUST made it out of the way in time as well.... not too cool.

 

Yeah I heard about that (and heard it). Also heard the kid was arrested too, not sure if that's true though. Too bad, hope it doesn't hurt future events. Any pics??

 

They didnt get on the kid too hard when it first went down and I never saw the cops do anything. They were mostly concerned about us bystanders that were nearly taken out by the 308. Amazing thing is the car was drivable after hitting the curb. If the kid was in a 360 or something modern with low profile tires, etc... he probably would have done 20K+ worth of damage!

Wow, what a shame. Dad's gonna beat his ass! Not sure if it is true, heard later at the show that he was arrested (not starting rumors here, just what I was told!). I wouldn't be surprised if the parents of the kid from the children's hospital he was carrying asked to press charges, that ride was a little more Ferrari experience than they signed up for.

 

Since the kid nearly "took me out" I won't hold back keeping his cover!

The car had a Connecticut vanity plate that read: Acclr8 or something like that for: Accelerate.

I did see the car putting along in the lot later with an older guy driving it. Pehaps his dad?

 

That is seriously embarassing. Yikes.

 

I was on the opposite side of the street from where he ended up and thought he was coming my way at first. He was rather foolish to floor the car on the corner and thankfully nobody got hurt.

I know no one wants to say it, so I will. Mistakes happen. Glad no one was hurt (and neither was the car). But we have all done dumb stuff, you live and you learn.
