In case you missed the notices, Ferrari Challenge racing will be at COTA this weekend, March 10 & 11. Free parking at lot A, free admission to the grandstand and the Velocity lounge. But its $25 for a single day pass for paddock access and $40 for a 2 day pass thru the COTA website. I'll be there Saturday. Anyone else going?
Hey Bob, my son and I will be headed down there from outside of Waco for the Saturday races and activities also. We sprung for the hospitality pass (he gets in free being a youngster) in anticipation of doing some client lapping but alas I won't be in my F430 after all. We'll definitely be out and about all day including the parking lot where my son has some of his best times car spotting.
Some pics from Day 1... Less-recent F1 cars that scream A gaggle of FXX cars all in one place... when do you see that And a gaggle of pit crews waiting for their cars. Small personal connection to 488 car #6, Continental AutoSports Met up with Will and Jason!

Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login My wife and myself showed up on Sunday, we couldn’t stay for too long but we arrived right when the F1 cars were lapping. Man, the sounds they make are so powerful! If someone wasn’t expecting it and a F1 Ferrari came racing by, I am pretty sure they would die of a heart attack.
Went Saturday, met a gracious Bob In Texas and had a completely filled day of seeing and hearing some of the most awesome Ferrari's on the planet. The F1 cars were out of this world fun to watch and my poor ears took every second of that incredible sound. We even scored a tour of Scuderia Corsa's facilites with Allesandro Balzan when we were not too inconspicuously poking around Mark Fuller's #142 488 Challenge. Was also nice meeting Steve F. of Boardwalk again. Overall a great day made even better as my son talked about it non-stop on the drive back home.
I went out on Sunday with a friend to check it out in my blue F12...didn’t make any laps, though. I didn’t realize that I could! Hopefully next year. It was great seeing all of the Ferraris parked together! I really liked seeing my F12 close to an 812 so I could really see the differences up close.
