Ferrari Challenge race 5/12 - 5/14

I guess they will let us drive the 612 once around a few cones !!!!!!

 

There is a group of us from Reno/Tahoe attending. We have signed up for the Scuderia Rampage and will be attending the Challenge races with the rampage group.

I decided to arrive early on Friday morning spend Friday night in a local Hotel so I can do some track time on both Friday and Saturday. Need to be back home for Sunday, Mother's Day. At least I will get 2 out of the 3 days seeing what I can do with my F430 on a controlled track enviornment. Should be fun.

 

I'll be coming down from Truckee and driving the CS on track with the DE event. A bit nervous about all the concrete at Infineon that tends to suck in cars. Probably throttle it back a bit compared to more forgiving tracks!

I'll try to keep an eye out, but that rig just kind of blends in and could be hard to find.

That set up is georgous. I'd love to see the it a bit more!

 

Yup, I'm there for $950, its a great deal. I look forward to frying the breaks and tires on my 06 F430 Spider.

No Rampage for me this year. My 1 year old is only alowing me a one day pass... See you Saturday...

 

Actually, the Ride & Drive is pretty nice... You and someone else will go with a rep from FNA... At some point you'll ride while the person drives and, halfway through, you two will switch. It's a lot of fun, the FNA reps are very casual about the whole thing and don't try to make you do everything their way... You'll leave the facility in the 612 and the rep from FNA will tell you where to go in the area so that you can get a feel for the car on the street... It's fun...


John, I just found out last night that you'll be there - I can't wait to see you...! My plane touches down tomorrow morning, just before noon... See you tomorrow...!

 

Thanks for info. I wasn't that crazy about the idea initially but if I can take the car out on the open roads, that would be good.

So last time I went to the races I didn't meet ANYBODY from Fchat. I did a bit of 'well that could be ...'

So I'd like to set up a meeting place & time, at some place and time, to actually meet you guys. I'm guessing I won't mistake Monsigneur Carbon. Perhaps a meeting location above turn 2 at the beginning of the morning and afternoon races, and near the Raceway Cafe for lunch break?
