    Hello All,

I have been thinking about racing the Ferrari Challenge Series. Has anyone on here done it? What are your thoughts / advice to some new to the series? I have been thinking about it for several years, but my work schedule has made it difficult for me to sign up for a season. I am thinking next season I could possibly work it out. I have driven on several tracks over the years and enjoy it greatly. I was possibly thinking on spending this time before the next season to prepare myself for the racing.

How competitive is it? All thoughts and comments welcome.

    Thanks

Yes. A number of Fchatters have been in the Challenge. I recommend you do a search and then ask specific questions.

Otherwise, it will just be repeating the same boilerplate.

For a full series, a $1,000,000 will help

Dan is spot on, as always. We miss you this year Dan!
Some of the numbers thrown around would only happen if you crashed........... lots!!
The hourly costs on the car are really not that bad, relative to anything as fast. The brakes are the crazy part and crash damage.

    Hello All,

Dan360, thanks I have read a little of what you wrote and I will read it all. As someone that has been reading a lot on F-chat for quite sometime I do do a search typically before inquiring about something. In general I find the search nets results that have nothing to do with one's question. I more want to hear from people who have done it, are still doing it or people that have known people who have or are doing it.

As one has mentioned there is always expenses, but as all of us know that have driven a road car on the track there are constant expenses one has to face. I do understand that the challenge is different as it is racing not merely one enjoying the track and their car. I am interested in being good at it and taking the time to improve my skills and enjoy the racing and the people as it has been said.

    So any assistance is appreciated.

    Thank you

For what it is, the Challenge Series is fantastic.
It is not easy to run toward the front.
If you're focused on cost, there are other places you can have a better pure racing experience for far less $$.
The costs for tracking a street car, even a Ferrari, are in a different solar system from Challenge costs.
