Planning a trip to NJ Motorsports Park this September to watch a Challenge event - soliciting any advice regarding getting tickets, pit passes, and general recommendations, as I have never attended one before and want to make sure I have bases covered before I show up on race weekend.

To be clear, I am not racing, just spectating and hoping to see some nice cars. Thanks in advance!

You can buy event tickets from the track or you can buy the hospitality package from Ferrari. I was at last year's event and the track was a huge disappointment - the Ferrari parking corral was on dirt, the entire place had an unfinished feel to it, facilities were sorely lacking and it was a major dust bowl. Cars parked outside the track were covered in dirt and dust worse than anything I've ever seen. Last year was their first year so hopefully they will improve it and finish the place before too long. Doesn't have anywhere near the atmosphere of Lime Rock or the Glen but at least it is another track within easy driving distance.
Fences ALL around the track and they are about 5' high so if photography is an interest bring something to stand on like a folding step stool. Last year people were on cinder blocks and piles of dirt. The hospitality package gives you an elevated area to shoot from of course but you only have a view of a small part of the track.
