Hard to believe it's been ten years already. That is a great event for this timeless classic.

We could certainly do something here in the States.

I just returned from the 50th anniversary of the FCA and there were four or five of them... Does that count?

Oh while we are on the subject of 10 years old... I received a wise crack at a gas station just yesterday. This 20 something in a 2001 Porsche says to me "...You would think a guy your age would have something better than a eight or nine year old Ferrari..."

Hows that for the youth of America?

My thoughts exactly. How could I ever be seen in such a $50 million dollar jalopy.

I'm usually very humble. Offering rides, allow people to take pictures, let kids sit in it, etc. However, for the kind of people like your 20 something yr old, I look at their car, and offer the most condescending scoff at them and walk away.

Might be a good excuse to ship cars to Europe for a few weeks of fun and end up in Maranello.

Yep, typical, they want it all and don't want to work for it!

If you see him again, consider coming back with..."You would think a guy your age would be smarter to at least borrow something better from Daddy's garage."

Yes, some manors for him are in order.

You know... He actually didn't. As mentioned he originally said "eight year old" Then "Nine" - He is out of his element I believe. It was a ridiculous statement.

    Correct!

So... I read that & thought "he must know this kid" as I am familiar w/ the kids family. The young man lives at home with the parents (still), and this car he was in is a family use car that has been handed down from one child to the next. I guess thats better than buying one.

    Sorry for the highjack!
