    I take it you are using a digital cam....Consider using a difused flash with your picture taking...or if you have the ability to legnthen your exposure time do that and put the camera on a small tripod with any time exposure greater than 1/60th of a sec.Digital cams have the ability to brighten up any composition even on a cloudy day.I am not a professional and I taught myself how to shoot...Just a little insight to better picture taking.
