This would be a brilliant idea for new owners about to join the Ferrari marque. To help educate us on what to look out for when buying secondhand. To find out about where to go for service. The good and bad points of Ferrari ownership. This is desperately needed for the uninitiated and many other car clubs offer this wonderful advice in their non member access area.
just send them your number and let them take one of yours for a spin ... and you can let them know who can service the cars properly at the same time
eg. I have no idea when considering buying a Ferrari say from Duttons, Theodossi, Brents, Lorbek etc. is a wise move. I say this because Zagame tell me that a used Ferrari that doesn't live up to their criteria of excellence gets hand passed to the likes of them and there are plenty around in the late model stakes that fall into this category. Is this the case? I have no way of knowing but a FCA member(s) might very well know for sure and this valuable information could be shared and save a lot of heart ache down the track for the unknowing.
Well, I think it is, but can only be passed on unofficially as putting "Blogs Bros only has crud cars" on your web site is likely to have an unpleasant outcome. So join as an associate or make friends and ask discretely.
Only true to a certain extent. Zagames rarely deal in any Ferrari older than the previous generation of a current model eg: They sell 360's; but rarely 355's or earlier. So if you are looking for say, a 328 Zagame won't have them; but it doesn't mean that there are no great examples available. All I can say is do NOT buy the first car you see, do your research beforehand and find someone who knows the cars and the various players in the used car world.
exactly right, unfortunately. i wouldn't be able to post on the fcavic website what I know about some mechanics, cars or dealers.
Oh I do wish I had your expertise my friend but do post any tips for us that can be of helpful use that doesn't offend in an open forum.
