Hi all, I'm a new financial member of FCA-Sydney, and I don't get notification of any events. There was a weekend away recently, I didn't get any notification... There's a drive day on the 18th August with no info out as yet.... Trying to contact someone in the club is near on impossible..... Can anyone help? Thankyou
Curious, if you don't get notifications, how do you about these events ? Also NSW contacts are in the back of the national magazine, which you would have received when your membership was approved, and NSW members are sent SMS messages of upcoming events, it might take a few weeks before the list is updated. M
I recall they were given out at the Christmas party, I'm guessing no attendance = no trophy ?. Are you attending this years concours M
Yes they were, I was OS at the time and arranged for someone to pick it up. Unfortunately he was blind drunk at the end and forgot (Thanks Gerry! ). The secretary took it home with him and over the ensuing months he has ignored emails, SMS, phone calls etc. The president has been as helpful. Like I said, amateurs
The contacts are in the magazine. oh and the recent Christmas in July event at the Hunter Valley was alot of fun.
So, just curious.... Has any Sydney member received notification about the drive day on the 18th... PM me if you like Thanks
the notifications usually come out at the last minute, expect details next Wednesday night - Thursday morning. PS. if you are new, you may not get notifications initially. Once I have the details i'll PM you incase they haven't added you yet.
Yep, to one of the busiest lunch spots on a Sunday. Have fun in the traffic guys. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
thanks for the coffee this morning greg! tell me, why do these fca runs end up at some busy restaurant...isnt it about driving your car, or is it about simply mincing around (like we were this morning)
ease up guys. Doug H and I were scratching our heads working out a drive route, I said, "we haven't had a Sunday lunch for a while" so Doug suggested the Palm Beach place. Any other member is warmly invited to plan a Sunday breakfast/lunch run, we do them every 4-6 weeks or so. For those of us who organise 4 or 5 each per year, it's frankly quite difficult for to come up with something new.
Sorry Ian didn't wish to offend. I know how difficult it is to organize outings to suit all. But driving 170ks to then drive through suburbia to lunch is not my idea of a drive day,(75000ks in 61/2 yrs in my GT4) Different strokes for different folks I guess.Ken
