Hi ppl just a quick note on sundays turnout, before u ask no i didnt take any pics as my digi camera died but i'm sure someone there on the day will post pics. Nice day weather wise, we started arriving at 9.00 am. First cars on the lot were all red as you would expect. The turnout was better than expected I'll give a general list of the cars that were there i may have missed some again im sure ill be corrected on any mistakes.

Ill start from the late 1950's and work to present day. In my book the standout car for me was Sue Millers 1960 250 cabriolet, she and her husband Les started the Ferrari club some 30 + years ago and has had the car for over 33 years. The great thing was she said they only paid $6000.00 OZ for it back then, talk about a great investment. She also 4 other vintage ferraris, a 195 inter coupe a 206 dino and a 50's vignale body but i missed the model she was refering to. Moving along there were also a 250 gt coupe, 250 gte 2+2 , 250 gt lusso, several 330 gt 2+2, 275GTB, 330 GTS, several 246 dino's, several BB 512's, Testarossas, 412 coupes, lots of 308 GT4's, lots of 308's, lots of 328, only 3 348's FUNNY NO CHALLENGE 348 arrived from VIC must got lost in traffic. Then all the modern gems like 355's, 360, 550, 575, 612 but the STANDOUT was Daves F40 from gosford.

The car was first owned bt F1 champ Patrick Tombay, Dave told me he brought the car in from the UK. The sad thing was some tosser turned up in a metallic canary bird **** yellow pagani zonda ( a very try too hard car for my liking) and had the hide to park it next to the F40, call me stupid but if I were on the FCA committe i would have told him to move the car. As it was the ferrarri concours not the pagani day. Im glad it was there to be shared by all but other marques that were there, had the respect to park on the edges of the park like several porsches and the aston martin that was there. Overall some 200 cars on the day.

I posted lots of pics in the other thread.

    200 cars? I left at 1pm I didnt see 200 cars... I didnt even see 100 cars.

What time the 550 and 575 arrive? I missed out. The Zonda was on trade plates I would of thought he would of been invited to the event? Maybe it should of been moved somewhere different but I loved it :D

Thanks speed for the pics, 2 of which are of my car, there were quite a few ferraris that stayed outside the park. I spoke to several owners and asked why they had not driven them inside the park, they assumed that only cars that would be judged were to be inside. So im counting those & the cars that left early.

    Hi speedline
I know, it was strange when I walked with my family back to there car at about 4pm, I was a bit shocked to see so many F cars loitering in the adjacent streets. I think in future the FCA should make it clear that even if you dont want to be judged , all cars should be in the paddock. There's already talk of having a combined meet next year at the Kings school with either an all Italian day or the super cars ferrari, maserati, lambos, detomaso, Iso. The location would be perfect as only last week i attended the all British day and it was awesome, over 1000 cars everything from Rolls astons to minis & even a double decker bus were on the oval grounds, the facilities are great with cafes & proper loo's for the ladies. Let's hope.

Have to disagree Andrew. The King's School venue at North Parramatta is too large, open and impersonal - and the entry road to the site is dirty and abysmal to navigate, especially for low slung F-cars. What's wrong with the Wiel Park @ Woolwich venue anyway? Or Vauclause House etc. Sydney has some beautiful idyllic venues to choose from. I'd also prefer a stand-alone Ferrari only Display Day in lieu of multiple marques. Just my two penneth worth.

Vic p00fter polishers always put on a fantastic day at lovely historic homes. Can't remember the name of the last place but Como House was a very popular venue with F car owners and public alike.

I reckon NSW should start looking at the historic homes - always a step above a park and not as large as the schools. An excellent venue in 2000 was Curzon hall except for the freak branch that fell on Joe C's beautiful TR :(

    Must agree F cars only

I must agree with you, the entry to the Kings school can be a bit hairy maybe a historic home would be great. Ill run it by the committe members. Ps there a chance I may get to the nationals in WA anyone from this site going
