Hello, I'm a "new B" to the Ferrari community. I took that first big step and purchased a 2007 F430 Spider. The car currently has a Ferrari CPO that is good through October 15. The previous owner suggested I extend the CPO. Does anyone have any thoughts on that? He also said the price for a CPO can vary by dealer? My closest dealer is Midwest Auto Group in Columbus OH. Any thoughts on MAG?

    Thanks!!!

With Ferrari, a CPO is not the same as a warranty. The warranty must be purchased after the car has been given a CPO. The purchase price for the warranty varies, but it will be some serious coin.

This car had the CPO and the seller purchased the warranty, good through October...the car is the process of a PPI now as part of my purchase. The dealer that did the CPO is the same doing the PPI now. The seller suggested that I extended the warranty while all this is going, if possible...if available is it worth it? The car is a 2007 - F430 Spider with 12,900 miles.

How much do they want for the 1 year extended warranty? Is it a Power Normal or is it the Power Train?

At 7 years you will only qualify for the power normal I think. They are pretty expensive but I always like the piece of mind. Financially and statistically you will probably be giving more than you get. Do you really wanna worry about it though??

You need to get back with us on the cost and coverage as well as the mileage, history and use of the car. Without that I would be hard pressed to call for the extension.
