So a lucky day, considering the unlucky event.

That stretch of highway looks to be about as close as you could come to a closed track....good barriers.....no trees.

although i am certainly happy that nobody was seriously injured, i was only remarking in a secondary way that the people were unharmed....what i was trying to say is that these exotic cars are actually designed, and constructed as supremely solid machines. and that is not a testament to luck or god, it is a testament to excellent engineering work.

She's also about 6" taller than the tops of those white helmets, at least 4" taller than (I'm assuming) the driver walking beside the car..

The driver is doing what I always do, just gather up the bits and stack them up on the car for the Repair Shop.

Oh Get real! They're just cars. And there are thousands more just like them. None of those cars look super rare.

 

The Prius is one of the early ones, probably a low serial number.

 

And not ONE of you has been worried that a "classic" Prius was totaled? For shame!

 

No wait, I would like to add that there was not a single 348 involved in that mess! What does that say about 348 owners/drivers? There were a few 355ers thrashed in that fiasco. I am sure it was caused by a late model Ferrari owner, however.

 

I dont understand where the media gets there #'s from.....3 million worth of cars....a bit over estimated....unless I missed an Enzo in the pics

Also that white TR looks very fixable to me, whether the insurance company will agree with me who knows.

I've been in club convoys and it is lots of fun, but I've also been in one where we were all sitting on 100mph and it started raining hard ... I was the second car and the first guy didn't even slow down, but I did and interestingly nobody passed me. We must remember to always drive within our ability and for the conditions, and don't worry about looking like a "girl" for slowing down if you think you should.
