    Hi guys,
I was wondering if there was any high quality wireless DashCams arround?
By wireless, (I mean the kind I can charge for a while in my car, and use for my -few hours- drive out without having any wires hanging around the mirror).
And what about rear DashCam as well? Do U reccomend having that as well?
The reason I am considering 1 at the moment is for documenting reasons if I may say, in case something bad happened (let us just say...some PPL don't care about others and don't really mind lying right in UR face), U can have proof if needed.
PLS share UR experience with DashCams, and if any wireless set (front and rear) U recommend R good for F cars, that would be highly appreciated.

Never heard of wireless dashcams but that might be a thing. If you want to go wired, then Blackvue seems to be the consensus in here. I have hardwired a Blackvue 750 in my Lusso.

    Reviving this Thread...

I too am interested in a Dash Cam for my F8.
Interested in recording while parked, in case kids decide to get a little too close or god forbid, car is vandalized.

I am highly concerned with all the battery issues of plugging ANYTHING into the USB port or ODB port while the car is off.
I don't want to come back to a dead battery.

So, I did a search and found that a number of BODY Cams have 14-16 hour batteries and continuous recording.
Some have windshield mounts and DO NOT require any power from the car!

Amazon.com : Losfom WD7 2K Body Camera, GPS 128G Body Worn Camera, Built-in 4600MAH Battery for 16H Recording, 1440P Body Mounted Camera,IP67 Waterproof Cam, Wearable Camera for Outdoor,Sport, Home : Electronics

Amazon.com: BOBLOV 256GB M5 Body Camera, 2K Body Mounted Camera, GPS Enabled &1440P, Built-in 4200MAH Battery,15Hours Record, IP67 Waterproof with Suction Cup and Car Charger : Electronics

I was thinking about mounting this to the wall behind the seats (maybe velcro) to cover the interior as well or maybe attach to the rear window facing forward?
Has anyone tried this type of camera? Less than $200 seems very reasonable, maybe buy two one in the front window one for parking?

    Am I too paranoid?

I completely agree with all your thinking- I've done the same investigation as I also will NOT wire anything into my car.... I like it and may do some variant of that one day

I agree with not wiring anything into the car too. When i look at second hand Ferraris any car with aftermarket electronic devices is a no go for me, not worth the risk. Sooo these battery powered body cams look cool but i really need to record 360 degrees.

I just wired up a Blackvue DR970X front/rear camera in my F8S with some help kindly provided by forum member F8Spider. I mounted the rear camera just above the rear view mirror. The rear window is not an option since it cycles down every time the roof is opened. I wired the camera into the fuse panel to the lower left of the steering wheel. The camera requires a ground and two other connections... one that always supplies voltage even when the car is off and one that supplies voltage when the car is turned on. It was very easy once I identified which fuse sockets had constant voltage and those that only had voltage when the car was on.

I completed this installation about two weeks ago and have driven the car probably 6 times since including several power off/on cycles when stopping for dinner, for example. I keep the car on the battery tender constantly when parked at home. So far I've had no issues at all and the cameras have worked great. The view out of the rear isn't great with the top closed but it actually isn't that much more restricted compared to the view when the camera is mounted near the back window. I tested the rear camera view at both locations and had my wife move from the rear to the side of the car. I was surprised to see that I almost had the same side to side field of view in either location. Of course, the view towards the sky is restricted but not so much that people and cars are not visible. The buttresses (?) that straddle the rear window constrain the side view considerably in either location. With the top down the rear view is great.

The default and very tame "Reckless Driving" settings on the camera guarantee you'll trigger a "Reckless Driving" event every time you drive the car. I've reset mine.

Here are a couple of videos.
