I helped a friend yesterday with removal of the rear window from a 1970 Ferrari Daytona.

Two wires, power and ground are part the window assembly and disappear into the window frame. There is absolutely no (at least visible) defrost grid in the window. The measured resistance through the circuit is 1.7 ohms.

Possible radio antenna (the car is equipped with a standard retractable antenna)?
Anyone have an idea as to the function of these wires?

    Thanks,

    MJO

These are for the rear window defroster. You should be able to see fine vertical lines
in the window. Controlled by one of the switches at the bottom center of the air control and temp levers on the dash.

    Thank you Tom.

I couldn't see anything in the glass but I was looking for the more standard thick element, horizontal grid. I'll look again. I'll also check the dash components and photos as well.

    Regards,

    Mike

Yes they are there and they are fine. Had to hold the glass up to the light to see them.
