Almost 40 years old and under 3500 miles. Sad and pathetic, such a wonderful car and it's hardly been enjoyed at all.

Maybe has something to do with the color and the original buyer, seems like a lot of early 911s that were brown had low miles and were well kept.

and 45% of the asking price is down to the low mileage, so anyone who buys it would be reluctant to use it. Doomed forever to be a trailer/garage queen.

    btw I like the colour.

Normally, I would completely agree. My 1995 F355 Spider sat under a cover for 15 years with 124 miles on it, and once I bought it, began seeing regular road use in 2010. It has about 4,350 miles on it right now. The way I see it, there is probably another F355 Spider out there that can remain the "reference car" for people who want to drive and restore their cars.

In the case of this Daytona, it's rare enough that could end up being really useful as a reference to what was original, which would help others continue to drive and restore their cars to original spec.

That said, if I were a billionaire... I'd be tempted buy it and drive it!

    :)

P 4/5 CM has put more mileage on in two days than this one has in 40 years.

I agree with IanB, I LOVE that colour. Looks sensational and that car is a beauty.

Hopefully the next owners drives it a little and enjoys it, but I don't think that will be the case.

Love/hate colour. You might love it, other people wouldn't buy it for half the price. ALways remember that you're not the only one on the street. :)

Doubt that someone is going to buy it out.

Might be true about the brown cars. There is a one owner brown metallic Daytona Spider with about 2000-3000km from new here in Sweden.

Many daytona owners have both set of wheels and use them according to how they will be driving the vehicle. Shoes for every occasion.

Not for me. But, someone lucky will buy it -- and never drive it.

Yeah, if my car was an ugly brown, I'd hide it in the garage and not drive it, either!

The buyer may be lucky that he can afford it, but he won't buy happiness.

While I'm all for preserving an original and uncommon colour, some of them are bit hard to look at. 330 GTS (10561) in Oro Chiaro (Champagne Metallic).

At least these cars have one good thing going for them: They're not yellow.

that´s true, most yellow cars are plain ugly (there are some exceptions, as i believe the dino´s can live with that colour) but brown?? It´s like a turd on wheels!!!

17013 while not in everyone's favorite color is an Spyder that most other's should be judged by when it comes to originality.

It is a benchmark example and was bought and sold by our company twice. I was only able to put at best three of four miles on the car but unlike most of the ultra-low mileage examples that survive, the car was hardly a museum piece, event the AC and the clock... notoriously fussy on these cars worked properly. No frozen shocks from sitting or clunks in the rear-differential and the suspension etc...

Looks like it may not have sold so likely still available. The price is right up there but I doubt seriously that a more original or correct example exists anywhere.

    Ciao,

    Bill

Wasn't brown popular back in the 70's? And its reappearing on cars today. Maybe not my first choice for a Daytona spider, but I like it.

When it comes to originality and correct example I would say s/n 17055 is right up there with this one.

Do you believe 14383 has been repainted?

Or is it that you don't like Nocciola?

Definitely repainted. Don't like brown cars at all and the silver nose looks just silly.
