I recently purchased a 2002 360 F1 spider from Florida. 2-3 months after the car arrived I began to notice the FERRARI name wearing off the front left red brake caliper. All the other calipers are fine. I assume the caliper was repainted. The service manager at Boardwalk Ferrari in Plano, TX told me that in order to fix it the caliper they would have to be taken off, disconnected from the hydraulic system, all the paint sanded off, repainted, put the Ferrari decal back on then apply a clear coat. Total process would cost $500 to $600. He recommended just living with it. Has anyone else had this happen and if so what did you do? Is there some place to get a template?
