well, both have been taking a beating lately thanks to their latest releases. WHAT ARE UR THOUGHTS?!? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
IMHO,one is a smoothie and the other an absolute mess.completely different design direction as well! (seems the usually outrageous one is now the master of flowing, beautiful design. the former master of suave is relying on "shock tactics".hhhmmmm...role reversal!)
I like them both, but I like the Lamborghini better. I just wish the headlights moved like the original. The wheels on the Ferrari look strikingly like pentograms.
I know on a Ferrari forum, my choice won't be so popular, but I think the Lambo is way nicer. And I don't even like the new Muira's design.
While the originals are always better, the Miura IMHO is much better and will hold the test of time. I don't think the studio shots do the Miura justice and the Ferrari is not exactly what I call a classic, but seeing them in person will be the true test. Here are a few other Lambo pics that show a little better perspective on what this car is all about. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
IMO since the Schmenzo Ferrari design has plummetted to new lows Lambo is the supreme Italian Exotic today in looks
The Miura does not look that great, but I do think it would look better in black or red. What's that color on it now? Dehydrated Piss Yellow? Baby Puke Green? Whatever it is, it's terrible.
i dont see what the problem is with the 600? i think it looks really good, compared with the original concept shots i saw of it. it looks like a keeper to me, as for the Muira, wow, i love this whole retro craze thats sweeping manufacturers.
i personally like the 600... i don't however like the looks of the miura. just my oppinion though. -Thomas
My thought is that Ferrari better find a new design team. The 550/575 was a beautiful design. The new 600 is not even close.
Pininfarina has seen better days, I'm afraid. Beteween the two designs shown there is no contest as to which will be the more enduring design: although it is more awkward than its forbear, the new Miura is more classic Italian; side by side the Pininfarina Ferrari looks, well, like a Misubishi. And my usual comment, the best looking, most enduring and coherent European sport coupe designed in recent years remains the Alfa 8C. Far and away.
That Miura is stunning, and the Ferrari design is schizophrenic and derivative. But I'd like to see both companies do creative new stuff. FWIW, I think the Jaguar F-Type was a brilliant design, left on the shelf - it proved to me that there are still great designs waiting to be born. And the proposed new Ferrari isn't one of them... Park the new Miura next to a real one and it will look like a SUV since the new model is so high, the same with Ferraris answer to the Miura the 365 or 512BB called the flying carpet at the time next to a 360 or 430, the 360/430 looks like a big SUV next to it. Its a good start for Lambo definately cleaner with less gimmicks than the Murci but if you want retro I think Ford did a better job with the GTs styling. I don't get why the trend is for easy to get into and out of fat sports cars today, don't think they are for the hard core types in the past but agree most Boxers and Miuras were not driven that much even back then.
truth ford did an excellent job with the GT...too bad its not as popular as theyd wanted it to be...its still good in my books///
Speaking of retro, does anyone know if Lambo went back to a transverse V-12 as in the original Miura?
