Can anyone help me with my Ferrari Dino 246gts interior regarding "stamped body" numbers that were put on by Scaglietti for matching Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login all of the parts to the original car.
I am trying to find out/identify the location of the attached images listed below.
Door top rail trim, (attached image).
Front windscreen stainless trim upright, (attached image).
If anyone can help me with any information/images I would be most grateful.
    Regards,
    Jim.

    Hi Jim,
If you are asking what I think you are asking, it is known that there is a body number stamped on the chrome trim that is in the front part of the door, at the top (see attached photos). That may be the “door top rail trim? I am trying to recall, but I believe I took it off the door itself, not the “body”. As for the front windshield stainless trim upright, I am not sure. There are threads on all
The stamping locations.. (coolant bracket, trunk hinge bars, etc), and a search may help you there.

Being that Dinos were constructed at Scaglietti’s alongside Daytonas, I assume their body numbering was done in similar fashion and can usually be found on the backside of any or most of the hand-made/-fitted/-finished components or parts, often at some inconspicuous area.
Most of the metal parts, including trim moldings (like shown in post #2) were usually "stamped", while most soft parts, including the dash, other fiberglass backed interior panels, etc were usually hand scribed/written with some color pencil or (spray) paint.
To find and document majority of these numbers will require a fair amount of disassembly and might be best to get done during any major restoration or refurbishment efforts.

The reason I am asking for more "stamped Scaglietti" body part numbers is that I have just recently put my Dino 246gts in for Classiche
certification. They have come back to me from Italy via a Ferrari dealership asking for more body numbers which is a bit of a pain because the car
    is totally finished and painted.
The part with a possible body number that I am not sure of is the upright front windscreen chrome trims,(both sides) attached images.
My question is. Are these trims stamped at the top or the bottom because I may be able to just lift the appropriate end to possibly see the Scaglietti number or do I have to unscrew, break the sealing compound and remove the trims completely.

    Marcel,
    Thankyou for your reply.
The car is a 1973,(September) GTS. When you ask for the chassis number is there a possibility that the upright trims were not stamped?
    Jim.

    James,
I believe Marcel wants to know the V.I.N. of your Dino (not the "stamped body numbers"), but should you feel reluctant to share it publicly, I'd imagine he'll appreciate if you email or PM it to him directly.

As for your question regarding the actual location of the stamped/scribed/written body assembly sequence numbers on each item, I'd imagine there's no easy/simple way to be sure, so it might be easiest to just remove all items you wish to verify (and photo-document ?) for Classiche's request.

Yes, the end tab on the reverse side of the chrome is where your Scaglietti numbers should stamp out. The two holes are the location.
Was it chromed and grind down by chrome shop? You must look close if this is so.

The top door bolster panel should have the stamping on the back side, 20cm aft of the door pull in panel center.

OK, this thread is about RHD 246 GTS VIN 06320 which is supposed to have body number 1945.
