Has anyone out there been to the FDE at Mont-Tremblant? Is it worth the $8500 plus all the extras???????I dont plan on being a race driver, just want to drive on a course at speeds and not worry about the HWP! Do you get much track time or is most the time spent in the classroom?Any comments would be appreciated.* Thanks

$8,500+? Seems high for a guy who just wants to have a weekend track event.

I've been to a few {not Tremblant} and only one had decent instruction. Hobby guys who call themselves "Instructors" are to be avoided. I know people who race at the Driver Education events each year at Tremblant and they seem to enjoy it immensly, they're also very rich.

Call them up and ask for the schedule for the weekend with the amount of track time they guarantee.

I did it last May. Although I think it is expensive, it is a first-class event all the way and I loved every second of it. It was also great to spend 2 days with other people who love F-cars as much as most people on this site do.

Is it worth it on a dollars and cents basis? Of course not. Nothing with the Ferrari name makes any financial sense.

But (and this is a big one) where else are you going to get to drive the latest and greatest Ferraris on perhaps the best track in North America, or maybe the world?

As icing on the cake, you will also have access to some of the best instructors around. (Tell Nick I said hi.)

Are you going to get to drive at 10/10s? Probably not.

Will you get enough seat time? Nope.

Will you remember it forever? Yep.
