I replaced the original incandescent bulbs in the emergency work lights in my 308GTS and 330GT with festoon LED bulbs. Now they are really bright. Of course, I probably will never use them. It is interesting that the 330 work light uses the ordinary cigar lighter receptacle while the 308 work lamp uses that special receptacle under the dash.

The 330 light has an ordinary cigar plug as shown on the left of the photo. The 308 light has the special plug which is to the
right of the 330 plug. The remainder of the entire 308 light assembly is above the 330 assembly. Note that except for the
plugs, everything is the same for the 308 and the 330.

Incidentally, wrapping the wires in two compact parts as shown on the 330 lamp makes the assembly fit into the bag
    much neater.

I'm certainly no concours expert but I'm fairly certain that those are not factory rubber bands. Do you know where original ones might be purchased? ;-)

The light cord came wrapped with a black plastic strap, similar to a black zip/cable tie. I will take some photos of mine this evening when I;m home and will psot them.

Be certain you know the correct plug-in end for your car. They vary over the years and from different models. Also, in case you are unaware, lights came in a black vinyl, snap shut pouch. They pouches are rather cheap and often come with rips or tears along the heat-sealed seams. Again, I can post a photo later tonight of need be.

Misunderstanding, I have the work light and pouch just not the "correct" zip tie.

This typing stuff doesn't translate my clever and droll wit very well.

Got it. Let me check. I think I know the correct source for the ties.

I believe the US cars are different. Mine plugs into the cigarette lighter on the central tunnel.

Apologies - the cable tie brand I was thinking about (Colson) has a slightly different style and shape.

I am certain that 308 emergency lamp with the special plug shown in my photo did come with my 1984 308GT QV.
This car has a special socket under the dash that fits the peculiar plug on this lamp and does power the lamp.

Kerry Chesbro is one of the worlds experts on 330GT cars. He does not think that the emergency lamp that plugs into
the cigar lighter shown in my photo is correct for my late Series II 330GT. I have kept records of every part --- large and
small --- that I have purchased for the 330. I can find no receipt for a lamp purchase. So I presume that it came with the
car when I bought it in 2000. But it could very well be that it is not correct for a 330GT. There is a very peculiar electrical
socket beside the choke button under the dash of the 330GT. Kerry says that this is the socket for the proper emergency lamp.
Kerry has never seen a 330 emergency lamp and knows no one who has. However, Kerry owns a Series II PF Cab. that has
the same socket under its dash. So all we need do is find a lamp for one of those. Since we are all in the dark about this,
I guess we need to find the lamp to shed some light on the subject.
