With GM, Ford, and D*!@#ler Chrysler offering "employee pricing to the public", I wondered when Ferrari might be offering the same. I wonder what the "employee price" for, say, an Enzo, might be?

Converted to Euros you'd probably have the priviledge of paying more!

Actually...they probably are selling at "employee pricing." IE. I don't believe that employees get any discount, so therefore you pay the same as they do!

It would be cute to see ferrari advertise "employee pricing" with an asterix stating the above!

Yeah, GM managed to move a ton of cars with that discount. At a loss of $300M+ for the quarter. They cheapened their name even further to reduce their glut of inventory.

And adding 'GM badges' to all their cars is the depth of marketing cluelessness. Like forgetting about creating a desireable brand before slapping badges all over everything.

Be glad Ferrari has nothing in common with GM.

HA HA, is funny, because Enzo himself was so very tight, that he made his F1 drivers buy their own cars and spare part. Irvine is still complaining today that Enzo refused even to give a discount to him for buying parts for his GTO.

If I am not mistaken, Ferrari employees (regular workers) are not to own a Ferrari. The employee parking lot is full of lots of neat Alfa's, Fiats, etc. So how in the world could they offer "employee pricing"!! Why price something special when you have a long list of clients willing to pay face value for the goods?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I read somewhere that they were considering a GM-based motor for the (new) Dino maybe?

It's sickening that everyone uses the same marketing pitch at the same time. What do these companies pay their head of advertising for?!

Kinda like Hummer and Cadillac. They use the employee discount on the Caddy brand, which has to hurt the idea of a higher-end, luxury, brand and are risking the brand of Hummer with the cheaper H3.

So, this means I can get a Ferrari for the same price MS or Mr. Todt pay for theirs? :) Hmmm..... I don't think they pay for thier own do they? That'd be one big discount.

Ok, the first thing you have to realize is that other than top management. Very few Ferrari employees could afford to buy one.

Carol, you would price it special so that more people could buy it.
