I think you're the minority in this case... Many people - even in this thread - have expressed their sadness for the loss of an Enzo...
Was watching this last night on CNN... did they figure out if the passenger was in fact the driver yet? -Peter http://www.luxurybazaar.com [email protected]
Dude, it's a frigging car! There are still 399 or so ugly Enzos still out there for you to drool over! Get over it and stop treating it like it's a person...
Wah, wah, wah, where's your enthusiasm...? Where's your "love for the marque"...? It's not a beloved 328, so you don't give a crap... ...and there's only 397 left...
As a consolation to those devastated by the loss of this ugly car I mean Enzo their will be probably at minimum 3 new Enzos born from this wreckage with the same s/n.
FNA does try to keep track of badly damaged cars in an effort to prevent warrantee claims from being processed that might be as a result of crash damage or a bad or incomplete repair of crash damage. Any time a Ferrari rep sees a badly damaged Ferrari you will see him making notes of it. Also sale of structural parts for the all aluminum cars is limited to factory approved body shops only of which there are 3 or 4 in the country. You are correct, a vin has been required for 288 parts since day one and it is required for a variety of other things as well.
The last I heard, and I maybe a little behind, is that they're going to test the blood on the drivers airbag and compare to passengers.
