Crash test cars are never counted towards the production run... 399 Enzos were made, plus one more special one, for a total of 400... Two were destroyed, and one is being rebodied - so that leaves us with 397 left...

What I wanna know is, how much does being the only Enzo blessed by the Pope add to its value? And what color is it, pearly gates white?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Tjock-Steffe might have been a pretty big fish in the small swedish pond, but where he is now, he's a pretty small fish.

He's latest convition (that I know of) was in 2003 when he recieved 15 months behind bars for among other crimes, battering a woman. He became "Head of security" at Gizmondo (or if it was at Tiger Telematics, can't remember). Prior to that, he was sentenced to a sum of about 10½ years back in '93/'94 for financial crimes.

(at the moment my english is a bit of due to rauchbier)

Are all you Enzo crash worshippers going to start your own cult with red and black robes, meet at the crash site monthly at midnight, and offer up an unused 308 timing belt as a sacrifice to the "demons of speed"? All the while, listening to ABBA music as a carbon fiber effigy of Enzo is led through the procession on a black horse while throngs of spectators toss loaves of Italian bread at the base of the infamous power pole that serves as the matriarch of the "New World Order of Ferrari"?

"And they beheld the sacred power pole, borne upon the shoulders of the loyal believers as they marched inevitibly toward the eternal sea, and one of the many came forth and cried "Blasphemous art thou toward thy holy Enzo. Cast out thy demonic power pole". And the believers cried out in fear, for their belief had revved into an unholy RPM range. "Forgive us Enzo" they screamed, and cast themselves at the Gucci clad feet of the carbon fiber effigy".

LMAO! Something like that happened to me once, when I speed shifted from 2nd into 5th instead of 3rd by mistake. The Mustang left my Dino a block behind. "Offered up was the sweet incense of fried clutch lining, a smell to make the gods cry."

sorry for not reading all before i post this...

now if the car is wrongfully registered, does it means it can't be insured?

This all plays into my previous post this afternoon. This guy lived life on the edge of the legal system so the assumption that the car was covered under insurance is a big leap. Even if the Bank of Scottland was the title holder (has been stated that they owned it) doesn't mean that this guy was keeping his insurance up to date. Add the fact that this car was never to be driven on the open road if here in USA under a special show/display waiver I think would give the insurance company a way out for being the ones holding the liabilty to pay for replacement of car.

not really, when you import a car on a TIB, the company or import broker had to get a special bond, and also require special car insurnace for its duration here but if it was circumvented with in the 12months then there will be problems. but how the heck did a car like this get out of where ever it was from, companys and almost 99% forbid a car being exported from the country in it was registerd. no title no export.

My understanding from reading the articles is that Bank of Scotland was trying to repo the car (and in fact, it may have been brought here to hide it from them). If that's the case, I doubt if ol' Steffan is too worried about insurance.
