Maybe, but in the crash pictures, it's pretty clear that the seats are black... In that picture, the seats are red...
It looks like the crash car has less spokes and they are grouped together in pairs.. still looking for a better match.
its a damn shame to lose another one but at least the "fugitve" was given the chance to run thanks to the awsome designers of our beloved cars!!!!!

Hey guys- I think I know who's car that is. Cody Leibel. At one point that car had polished wheels on the right side of the car and black wheels on the left side of the car. they were both the same rim. he's a 24 year old kid who drives that car a whole lot. He's got a 550 Barchetta, too. Lives in BH... Was this crash southbound or northbound on PCH? My guess is that they were headed home from a party in Malibu. My sources say that this particular car is not registered in the states, and the owner is a scandinavian dude. Time will tell, though. I'd say by the end of the day we'll know for sure. My money is on Cody though. He drove that car to the clubs a lot, peeling out, etc... being generally irresponsible with such a rare and expensive car.
My best guess is that the owner of this car also has Carbon's wet dream (but not 134282), finding a replacement won't be too hard.....
If you think it's Cody's, then there is a recent thread regarding his Enzo w/ Tara Reid as the passenger: I thought the Enzo is a 2 seater... incl. Tara Reid ;-) http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92955 However, in those pictures, the seats are red, and the car has stock rims.
The rims don't look the same... Shoot, the is the enzo with half/half rims but the interior is red.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree with Timotronic. My money is on Cody Leibel. The fact that the driver and passenger ran away from the scene indicates some sort of "crime" was committed (other than the obvious speeding). At 7:00 AM in the morning, Cody could have been returning from a party after heavy drinking or other drug use.
All they need to do is pull the "Black Box" or if the HUD has power simply turn it on and take a look at how fast the car was traveling. But then again... The driver may have yanked the HUD & Black Box and ran to the nearest body of salt water to dispose of the evidence.
Wow.. that's a pretty big assumption to make on a public forum. Maybe he was also getting a BJ from a transexual hooker dressed as a nun? Cody's seats are red. This car has black. Care to retract your previous statement?
QUESTIONS: 1-Could this be a spoof? 2-Does this make Two that have been removed from the list (398 now)? 3-How many 288's, F50 and F40's have been lost?
The rims could have been changed easily, Cody seems to be an impulsive buyer. But the color of the interior leads me to believe that this was not Cody's car. yes, I will retract my guess that it was Cody's car - HOWEVER, I do have a source that tells me he was in fact getting a BJ from a transexual hooker dressed as a nun last night.
Here is a picture of Cody's Enzo published on The Lowrider Magazine. Does not look like his car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You think it's the guy from the UK who brought over the black Enzo with the all-black wheels and the red Enzo as well...? Cody's Enzo, regardless of wheels, has red seats... Axl's Enzo has black seats... I spoke to a guy in NY who's friends with a guy out in California and happens to live about 500 yards from that power pole... The guy woke up to no power this morning and went outside to see what was going on and saw two pieces of an Enzo and no driver or passenger...
Here's some more news: Ferrari Crashes, Closes Part Of P.C.H. Save It Email It Print It (CBS) MALIBU, Calif. A section of Pacific Coast Highway was closed Tuesday after a single-vehicle car crash, officials said. Paramedics were sent to P.C.H. at Decker Road at 6:15 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Ron Haralson said. By 8:35 a.m., one lane was reopened in each direction, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos. The vehicle, a Ferrari -- reportedly worth between $600,000 and $1 million -- was badly damaged. One person suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene. "We have the passenger, who told us the driver did flee from the scene," Sheriff's Sgt. Philip Brooks said. "And we ... followed some footprints up the side of the hill in an effort to locate the driver." Authorities believe the Ferrari, which broke in half, "was traveling at least 100 mph and it will probably be a lot more than that once we conclude our investigation," Brooks said. For a million dollars, you get a very good passenger-safety system, and apparently in this case it did work," he added. Some electrical service in the area was interrupted because the car struck a power pole.
