Andreas, I think Eddie's time in F1 was a lot about partying and show as opposed to results (except for 1998-1999). However, he was a real character and I too would not buy a used car from him. He did have a great Rug though!

So I hear through the grapevine that this Enzo has a good shot at being rebuilt. From what I hear, there was no damage tol the tub, so it is rebuildable... I don't know who would want to buy it though.

I don't think the tub is as important as the serial number plate!

    Andreas,

The apology is extremely nice of you, and thanks for the tip on "The Piranha Club". I haven't read it but certainly look for it now.

    Thanks again,

Sorry for being OT, but here it goes: It is a great book about the history of F1 (including one chapter about the Commendatore). If you like Eddie, you'll love the first chapter about how he lost Michael Schumacher to Flavio. Fantastic inside story.

    Ok, back to Malibu.

    here's what I think happened:

stefan was being jacked/Repod for the SLR and they were also trying to get the enzo

the SLR vanished, and they dropped "Trevor" off at the crash scene in order to pick up the guy who was with eriksson

figures they wouldn't want the enzo after it crashed, but they would most likely be back for more cars/cash/etc

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

18,299,218.36 USD at today's exchange rate.

Guess he can afford to write-off an ENZO .....but will they (Ferrari) rebuild it for him, or will he find another one

He's got the black one. And many people including Ferrari are scratching their heads as to why and how they are in the US. Especially with those plates.

I dont know why everyone is jumping abt a scam this guy has pulled and made money. Im not sayn all but 99% of you all reading this were given half a chance to make that kinnda money in a scam you would do it to and yeah he did come un stuck at the end but look at it this way hes still got a few other super cars and his life style and money. So good luck to him a and let him crack on with it!!!!!

As far as the number plate on the crashed enzo - If i took an enzo from london to USA i wouldnt bother changing onto US plates if the car was only a temp import. Think of all the parking tickets and speeding tickets you can save from paying up. ha ha ha

That attitude is a big part of what's wrong with the world. Saying it's OK to steal because everybody does it is just an excuse that dishonest people use. I think you'll find that 99% of the people here WOULDN'T do such a thing. Most people get up and go to work every morning, add real value to the world, and believe in "an honest day's work for an honest day's pay."

Go ahead and laugh, but the sooner you learn this simple lesson, the better off you will be.

Firstly he never stole the money.
Big Difference between scaming and stealing.!!!! It takes a lot more effort to scam people then to steal. Robbing someone is wrong that is out of order.
You are obviously the 1% percent that wouldnt scam. But i seriously doubt that given half a chance to make 18 million quid you would pass it on.
    Bol***ks to that i say.
