This should be a repaint - based on todays knowledge on the car... Originally commissioned by a famous japanese musician/composer/conductor as far as I know. It's identity is still not known!
Took the Enzo for a tour today, it was so great. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Enzo is turning 20 today! It was June 27th 2002 - the week after Barrichello and Schumacher scored a superior 1-2 at the European GP at the Nuerburgring - when Ferrari officially presented their successor to the F50...and which was not named F60, as many assumed back in the days. I always loved the Enzo steering wheel. Here's one for sale, asking a serious price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254363291493?hash=item3b393bcf65:g:NFoAAOSwq7ldghDD
It definitely sold, as it was done at no reserve. However, I am not sure if they are going to disclose the amount (like the Aventador Ultimae) or keep it private (like the Fangio 300 SL).
It sold for an unbelievable record amount… I was an underbidder. Wish I could disclose it but WOW is all I can say.
So the current high bid and closing price was viewable to all bidders registered for the auction? That makes me think they are ultimately going to reveal the winning bid. I believe (not 100% sure) the Fangio 300 SL, which they didn't reveal the price of, was a true sealed bid auction where nobody was aware of what others were bidding.
Indeed. And to think how relatively inexpensively I offered this Enzo in the past, as the saying goes, "don't look a gift (Prancing) horse in the mouth!"
Nevermind; they've updated their post-sale page to explicitly state the auction was sealed bid. They won't be publicizing the price.
Hagerty did leak the price before RM announced it. However, indeed that was a special occasion of being a world record for any car (by a country mile) that even people who don't care about cars are interested to hear about. I don't think people in the know on the white Enzo will be as eager to run to the press (as cool as we in this thread all think it is).
ENZO obsession. Image Unavailable, Please Login Regarding the white Enzo, is it worth double that if a red one?
The point I was making (regardless of who revealed the SLR price first) was RM were happy to share the price of the SLR, whereas RM don't appear interested in sharing the price of the Enzo, at least not yet.
is this the same Enzo pictured below> Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
