And you really think it can't be faked? Scamers have no problem to fake items and "aged" them. They can fool you. I think an embossed logo on the base of the seat is something you can't remove without leaving a mark.

Black. I would love a Bordeaux interior and thought hard over the last few days about ordering them in that color and then converting my interior over, but I'll never have time to do it and I should probably just keep the interior the original color.
Maybe... Maybe not... So many specialists have been abused by forgers in many cases ( art, antique, you name it). Well that was just an idea to get an easy way of telling from originals or copies for every body, not only specialists eyes. Personnaly, I don't care: I'm lucky enough to not be fond of those seats
Amazing — thank you so much for your order! I just received it and will be in touch shortly to confirm all your spec details and shipping info. Really excited to build this set for your F355! — Reza / CarbonSeats.com
One thing to note: Original TIR seats are made using a traditional wet carbon lay-up technique. No vacuum bagging process involved. You can see human craft in the carbon layout. It is not perfect. Reza will build these using an autoclave carbon process, which is the technique used in modern Ferraris. Lighter, stronger, cleaner carbon layout. Carbon will have a “pressed” look. Will look like it is made by a robot, not human craft which has small errors. If someone is unsure seats are genuine or not, run it by me . I’ve had these seats separated and analyzed.
I am currently in the process of inventing a time machine so that Reza can go back to 1997 and get an Italian guy who drank half a bottle of Cabernet at lunch to rub his hands all over the leather of the seats he's making so that they're really truly authentic and period correct The same man will then locate prancing horse badges on fenders just by eyeballing them.
Let's see some prototypes before we start talking about how indistinguishable these are from original. Even re-trimmed original seats are almost always easy to tell apart from OEM fitment.
Thank you for extending the intro offer. I've ordered a set: Ferrari F355 carbon seat – Alcantara and leather × 1 Leather color: Beige 4208 Ears & mid alcantara: Beige Stitching: Tone-on-tone Order notes: ZFFXR41A0W0111466
Sure they will, just like we are seeing lies about converted cars trying to be sold as factory originals. There are alot of guys out there with money, but no common sense or knowledge.
Totally fair point, and yes, full photos of our completed production seats are coming soon. We’re just wrapping final upholstery now (done by Zanasi Group), and I’ll be sharing detailed shots of the carbon shell, foam, and stitching layout shortly. We’re building this slowly and carefully — not rushing anything to market. Appreciate the patience! — Reza Thanks so much for your order — really appreciate the trust! I’ll follow up shortly to confirm every detail and make sure the spec matches perfectly with your VIN and original trim. Can’t wait to build these for your 355! — Reza I hear you and I agree, transparency is everything. To be clear: we’re not selling these as OEM seats, and we’ve been very open about what they are, accurate reproductions based on original 3D scans and factory trim specs, built for restorations or enthusiasts who want the look and feel of the original seats. No misleading markings, no fake provenance. Just quality work done with care. — Reza
They can try, but after one failed attempt it will probably get shut down. What ends up happening is a scammer will post a for sale ad in known venues where Ferrari/355 parts are sold. There will be oohs and ahs and word will spread. The ad will be scrutinized and even more so if buyers now know reproductions exist. I’ll probably be made aware of the ad and I know what questions to ask to confirm originality. Don’t confuse attempt with success. Who sold or is selling a converted car as original successfully?
The concern is a scammer will buy these and try to sell them on the market as real presumably at a higher price. I’d like to see someone actually pull that off. Or include it in a car and pass off as real. As already mentioned in this thread, there are ways to identify authenticity. There’s also ways to validate how the car came spec’d from the factory. If a buyer is completely clueless, no marking is going to help him because if he actually cared, he’d ask the right questions. At most, he’d pay what the reproduction seats cost.
The embossed horse on the repros is actually too good. This is how it looks on original seats Image Unavailable, Please Login
I haven't seen anyone try to sell a conversion as a factory manual 355. Can someone substantiate this?
Great observation — and thanks for pointing it out! You’re absolutely right that many original seats today have a softer, more worn-looking Cavallino — and that comes down to a few key things: The photo you posted shows a well-used seat from the 1990s, trimmed in Connolly Autolux leather. With time, usage, UV exposure, and leather stretching over the foam, the embossed horse naturally softens and loses some of its definition. In contrast, our current seats use fresh leather (this test piece is Poltrona Frau, but all seats will be made with Connolly Autolux) and are embossed using the original tool from Zanasi Group — the same team that trims Classiche and Tailor Made Ferraris. So what you’re seeing is exactly how the Cavallino would have looked when it left the factory new. Here’s a photo of the actual tool Zanasi uses for the embossing — it’s one of those small but important touches we wanted to get exactly right. My Cavalino, a bit tired, 30 years old, with good care, he seems to be great, but I avoid to see it when I drive, he's sulking, but that's how it is lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
