For sale is a used Genuine Ferrari F355 Challenge Rear Bumper. Manufactured by TIR. Fiberglass construction. Weight is approximately 20-22lbs. There is about a 6 inch crack on the passenger side. I can have patched up from the inside before shipping, but the exterior bodywork needs to be done by a bodyshop. I did not want to conceal the damage by repairing it, so viewers can have a good idea the extent of the damage. No chunks are missing. Everything else is intact. Very minor damage fortunately. Some background for those unaware. All F355 Challenge bumpers, both front and rear are Euro-spec, meaning they have no provisions for installing side reflectors. The rear bumper also has a wide license plate cavity, which matches the Euro look. Ferrari never produced Challenge bumpers in U.S spec. Ferrari developed the Challenge front bumper first. It wasn’t until a year later was the light-weight rear Challenge bumper introduced. Many early 95 355 Challenge cars only received the front bumper, including ROW challenge cars, hence they are still running around with standard rear bumpers. This is evident in U.S cars where side rear reflectors are still present on the rear bumper, but non-existent on the front bumper. ROW cars are a lil harder to tell as the appearance is identical from the outside, but from the inside, it’s evident the integrated re-bars are larger. These bumpers generally weigh 35 lbs+. If you have an early 95 355 Challenge, chances are you do not have a challenge rear bumper. Challenge bumpers are no longer produced and haven’t bern for decades. This is a rare opportunity to complete the look. I would prefer this go on a 355 challenge car. $7k + shipping. Here are a few examples of early 355 challenge cars still running around with standard rear bumpers as evident by the rear side reflectors… while simultaneously running challenge front bumpers, which do not have side reflectors. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-ferrari-f355-challenge-2/ https://youtube.com/shorts/54q7Ud4z-ZE?feature=shared Image Unavailable, Please Login

Someone recently purchased a brand new standard (not a challenge) rear bumper for roughly $7k shipped through Eurospares AND he received the wrong bumper!
Amazing how these incredibly basic and raw (kinda ****y) and rare parts are also incredibly expensive! For what they are
These are certainly a relic of the past. Not sure if they were outrageously expensive back in the 90’s, but the price is the price due to rarity. Ferrari/Eurospares are currently selling brand new standard bumpers (heavy) in the $5k range and that is before shipping. International shipping of large items is quite pricey all said and done.
Yeah I understand all that. I’m just amazed at how ****ty these parts are. I was buying better aftermarket VW parts in the 90s. lol
For a light-weight fiberglass part, which is hand-made, it’s actually pretty good. Totally different from mass produced plastic injection bumpers, which are automatically going to appear higher quality.
As a a person involved in the auto industry I can say that no, these parts are ****. In my opinion. Sorry not trying to mess with the post, I agree the rarity of the part justifies the price. It is what it is.

Just confirming though, you cannot tell a Challenge from a standard Euro rear bumper from the exterior? Any way to tell visually on a mounted bumper? Just wondering if my '95 which has a front Challenge bumper also has one on the rear.
You’d have to find a way to peak into the re-bar by visual or by feel. Probably need to loosen the exhaust shield in front of the bumper first. The re-bar integrated into the standard rear bumper is larger by comparison. Or you can try seeing if your bumper brackets are gold colored (cadmium plated) as shown in the pics. Standard bumpers don’t use separable bumper brackets. Mounting bolts are integrated.
Only the front. Not the rears. The rears were always fiberglass. Feel free to find them and post links to them here.
I ordered front and rear bumpers here: https://www.prosport-ferrari.com/aftermarket-ferrari-parts/bumpers/355.html fiberglass but extremely light, 7 kg each parts
Can you post pictures of the inside of the bumpers? Is there a reinforcement bar or proper mounting provisions to mount on the car or provisions to mount rear diffusers? Looks like bare bones bumper skin.
Bumper skins with barely any mounting provisions aren’t exactly authentic Ferrari 355 challenge bumpers are they? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The bumpers are mounted since 2022 yes there are all the proper metal mounting exactly like the OEM bumpers
I found some dark photos of Prosport rear bumpers (from Prosport). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are photos of a challenge rear bumper. Notice all the mounting hardware is metal. Notice it has all the mounting bracket on the bottom to properly install the exhaust heat shield and rear diffusers, which the Prosport bumper does not have. Also, the way the center mounting bracket is designed allows you to conveniently drill a hole for a challenge tow hook which sits above the exhaust exits. Once again, I am selling a genuine “challenge” bumper… a bumper perhaps a “challenge” owner might be looking for. The Prosport bumper seems like a decent alternative for a standard bumper as long as it mounts up the car properly. Ferrari 355’s are notorious for having sagging rear bumpers … mostly due to owners installing them improperly or installing them with improper hardware. Having just recently installed a rear bumper, I do know all integrated mounting hardware on the bumper has to be pretty spot on to avoid a sagging look. The Prosport bumper is also $3k before any shipping cost to the U.S from the U.K. Shipping can easily be $1000-$1500.
