I am curious to know if there is a better gear oil on the market that will make shifting easier while my F355 car is still coming up to temperature? I have read posts claiming that Redline MT90 GL4 may help with this issue. Anyone having a similar experience, or perhaps, have had this issue in the past? Please advise. Thank you

GL4 isn't rated for use in your gearbox, but that's also an ongoing debate on this forum. Some say it's ok, others say it risks hypoid differential gear damage. I won't venture to answer this as I have no experience using GL4.

I have used Redline 75w90NS GL5 in both my 355 and 360 with good success. Definitely solved the cold box notchiness and I have never needed to add any friction modifier for the limited slip diff as I experienced zero chatter when turning (they can ease up if there's a few miles on the car). This is also the only trans oil they recommend for your Ferrari. Whatever you use don't get the Redline shockproof stuff, it gums up external transmission coolers and they warn against it.

Thank you for sharing your personal experiences. I ordered Red Line 75w-90ns GL-5 for my 97 F355 Spider. I will provide an update once I change the oil. Thx again
