If your going to try and make a kit that looks like a Ferrari, at least make it good.

    Trademark infringement with the Cavillino?

Just try to remember what the TR7/TR8 looked like...won't say this is an improvement per se but maybe no worse than what it looked like before they put the kit on. However as an F40 it makes a great Triumph.

Rover 3.5 V8 is descended from the aluminum Buick V8 in the Skylark from the early '60s and over the years has been punched out quite a bit. They put them in the Triumph Stag, the TR8, various Rovers and of course the Range Rover.

    Cheers
    Kevin

I thought Americans were the only ones that make horrible looking replicas. It comforts me to see that Amercians aren't the only ones who love and build hoirrible looking kit cars.

what a shame! i had a new 1980 tr8 as my 1st sports car when i was 20 and it was fantastic. i got it for about $11000 and sold it for 8500 10 years later. i thought it would become a valuble collectable as it was the last and best triumph in usa but never happened.

You wanted to know how powerful the rover V8 can be, well this is the TR7 5ltr twin turbo that i built. It also ran on methonal injection and a shot of No2. At 450ish bhp without No2, it could out exelerate my 355. And the breakes were better than the 355.Also the engine bay shamed any other car i have seen.It has been in many UK magazines. A rare beast indeed. http://www.triumph-cars.com/articles/art51_60/art5203.jpg
