Are F430's still going for above premium (new and used)? And if so, does anyone else find it amazing that these cars have been out for some time now and still go above MSRP? Can someone explain this and how this impacts resale? Maybe F's aren't as a bad of an investment as we say...

I have seen a number of 2005's advertised at prices less than original MSRP, especially if they are loaded with a lot of expensive options. Don't know about premiums for new ones.

we don't like to about ferrari's and the word investment in the same sentence here. we buy them to drive them and if you happen to come out better then you thought when selling it, good. if you loose alot of money selling it, oh well.

the 430 are now just starting to come out of the high high range. just avoid the ones that are way to high as there will always be people that think there car is worth more then anyone's...

Not all Ferraris are created equal and the original MSRP should be taken into consideration along with MY, condition, mileage and service/history when determining market value.

The truth is that in the last few months 430's are selling below MSRP. Although most of us take little consolation, keep in mind it took the Corvette Z06 to go from a $10,000 premium to $12,000 below MSRP (about a 30% turnaround) in less than 2 years. This economy is driving prices downward and more is to come. Some of us paid cash and have enough "depth" to see cycles through, while others are too highly leveraged. The deals are coming faster and faster. As one guy said, don't buy to make money, buy to enjoy the car. Some very reputable dealers will argue, but look at private sales to corroborate my statements. As long as you do a PPI, have records from birth to present, truly like the car, and maybe most importantly, can afford it, it is a good time to go shopping. Best
