Hi everyone. Please help. I have ferrari F430 2007 and my convertible top mechanism is broken on one side. What can I do? My mechanic told me he’d have to take everything off and weld it, it’s too close to a fuel pump and gas tank to be welded like this. What options do I have? Where can I buy used mechanism? Or what to do. I uploaded a picture so you can see it.

    THANK YOU EVERYONE

Looking at the pivot points makes me think that the roof is binding up to lack of lubrication. I think I'd want to remove the roof and check all of the joints anyway.

I might actually have this part. Which side left or right?

Likely broken because it has been folded incorrectly for some time and being stressed is my opinion. Faulty elastics most likely. Be sure to address those at the same time. I’d see about a replacement part first if possible as it will be less than removing the entire assembly to weld that one.

I am not 100% clear which side you need, but I have 66958800 in a box, unused if you need it. It's the right side.

I bought it thinking mine was bent, but I only needed shims under the rear capote cover bracket because one shop who worked on my car took them out and never put them back.
