Computer operations required pre and post replacement.

Should really only be done by those with the correct computer equipment.

I expect that some guys enjoy sending others down a dirt road.

How often do we see someone here with an apparent minor problem followed by a few annonymous idiots coaching them to spend huge money replacing unrelated parts as if they would do it if it was their car?

Well there certainly is an element of that.

One thing I find interesting is how few threads people who know what they are doing respond to yet everyone gets advice.

As for what i remember, one needs an SD3 computer to re-calibrate the system.

Enough smack-in-the-face information to ask a better question or just admit you can search some more and all you give is frownyface?

Well if he takes my information at face value, which I think he should I don't blame him for being disappointed. If that is his message, I get it.

    A. plenty of threads detailing this process, you are asking how to replace the oil....?
you want someone to lay it all out for you, implies you should not
tackle this. Manuals available on line, have you looked ?
    B. Absolutely can be done in your own garage, as long as you have the ability.
    C. You need the clutch settings (pis) etc., read before you start,
And reset before you drive the car, and test drive, maybe reset
again, all using a SD2/3 or comparable ....
    D. A indie shop did mine, flat racked to dealer after mechanical
work was done, they did the F1 fluid flush, and set all parameters.

So answer is yes, you can do the mechanical stuff in a home garage
but you better be ready with knowledge, tools, and parts...
Will you replace trans mount while in there ? If you need to and do not
have the part, down time, you could spend a lot more time, stopping
and ordering pats than you think, this may not be a big deal but can happen.

After lots of search I got Ferrari f430 workshop manual.
First let me look for a sd3 support then I ll remove and replace the clutch myself.
    Thanks for the support :D:)
Will update the thread once its done.

After you replace the clutch, you can flatbed it to someone who can do the SD3 ($25,000) work for you. Will cause some problems because you did not save some of the old parameters, but an expert can probably fix it. Trying to drive it over to get the work done could ruin your new clutch.

You do know to replace the throw-out bearing and clutch position sensor at the same time, correct? Many pros like to replace the pilot bearing, too.

Ok. Uh the cost of sd3 is 25k USD?
Using sd3 is it possible to adjust the shifting points and shifting timings?
