The fewer they build, the more stable the prices will be.
It’s the last V8 w/o electrical and-ons, the last V8 below 1500kg and the last one for less than 300k€.

If this was the only car with it’s design maybe, but throw in the 488s and 458s and there a lot of available options to choose from.

You can create a very nice one for 300k € here.
Almost 60k on options. More than enough if you aren‘t keen on spending 80k for CF interiors and exterior (20k will do ;)).

Depends on taste and also in my eyes, Carbon is a must, also for resale. Not for resale value alone, but for the capability to sale the car at all. There are a lot of low spec'd 458 cars sitting in mobile.de for ever.

Yes, mostly cause of delusional sellers who think they can find idiots who will accept their ludicrous asking price.

I don’t see the necessity of loading the F8 with all the exterior CF. Replacing the front lip, sill cover and rear diffuser which are already kept in black makes no sense imho.
Engine bay and engine cover can also be questioned.
W/o the aforesaid options, you can completely fill the interiors with CF and still some have some money in the pocket before you pass the 300k € border.
    Just my few cents...;)

Just a random data point from a single buyer (me). Carbon fiber details on the F8, especially cosmetic interior details, are a complete waste of money and no longer seen as exotic, at least among the crowd I hang out with. CF interior accents now appear in some of the most mundane cars imaginable. On my last 488, I specced no CF, but instead focused on things that I valued, like racing seats. I'm starting to look at CF, especially non-functional cosmetic stuff, as a joke, where everyone gets the punchline except for the poor sucker paying for it. Just one view, but there it is.

Agree - the only valuable interior CF options for me are the steering wheel, because of the LEDs, and the paddles, because they (now) are the ones having the proper size.

Maybe on the Tribute but you put no CF on a Pista watch how fast the value sinks like a rock. CF is beautiful on the Pista.

The mundane cars have carbon fiber because they are emulating Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren. When your exotic has less carbon than someone’s M3, its not so exotic anymore. Personally I’ve passed on numerous 488’s since they were missing interior or exterior CF. Just another random data point from a single buyer (me).

The more details and pics of the SF90 are known, the higher the attractiveness of the F8 rises...

Perfect interior and exterior spec for this car including the wheels. I know these wheels get no love from a lot of F chatters

Carbon fiber is strong and light and hence useful. But there's no benefit to putting a clear coat on it instead of paint, especially where it gets exposed to sunlight.

When carbon fiber was first used for sailboat masts it was finished clear for the "look at me" effect. Now clearcoated masts are just tacky. Masts are almost universally painted now, as the paint protects the material from the damaging effects of the sun.

My view: Unpainted carbon fiber is like a fart cannon on a Civic. It's for show.
