I didn’t realize they were still so far out! I have a friend waiting on an 812 SF keeps getting pushed out. He’s losing his patience.

That color makes the car look non descript.

May be it’s rather the skills of the photographer.

Very few cars photograph well in grey, white or black. F8 is beautiful.

Not questioning the F8 aesthetic appeal. Simply that the color does not do it justice.

The back of the F8, while not offensive, is a bit of a dog’s dinner from a design perspective.

I was thinking the exact opposite. Much more modern and flowing compared to the Pista's Transformers'-aping, blocky looks.

Looks are always subjective, personally I think it looks good! Our local dealer won’t have one until Oct-Nov and I’m pretty sure it will look even better in person. At that time I’ll firm up my spec....

Seen the launch car in NYC. You wont be disappointed. It looks great. Usual photos dont / cant capture the car’s presence.

Please elaborate. Saw the car in person at the NYC launch, pictures dont capture the car's presence. You get a real rear spoiler and two extra lights and more curves. what more can one ask for? lol

Will they allow one to just walk in and buy a new F8?

Ferrari as a publicly traded company will be operating to maximize profits hence all these new cars coming up. There are even reports that Ferrari has requested a percentage of new Non limited cars be allocated to new buyers.
So yes you should be able to get an F8 as your first Ferrari. Some F chatters already posted this experience.

I was even told that anybody new to the brand can have their own unique car made. Must be an existing engine is the only prerequisite but the body and interior can be what you want. Obviously several million. But if you have the cash you can get it done. You don't need to be a celebrity or a multi Ferrari owner.

One thing I would do 100% if powerball came my way. Surprised that none of the few really wealthy guys on this forum haven't done.

Also when asked if there will be a F8 Speciale , all I received was a smile. Ild take a bet that there will be one.

Great to hear times have changed for standard production models as I am in the market for my first Ferrari. I remember the days of having to buy pre owned before one would be allowed a standard production model at MSRP. Or dealers laughing at first time buyers if they didn’t own multiple previous Ferrari’s. Assuming no discounts like Lamborghini? I negotiated 10% off an Evo within 5 minutes. Or there is room for negotiations?

Where are you from because its different all over the world. Australia no issues. Discount I highly doubt it. Might get something thrown in if you buy several options as I did. Remember made to order but dealers will have a demo car which will be sold with savings at some stage.

You can get great deals on Maclarens though as they are not moving

I have never heard of discounts for pre-order Ferraris.....Not as long as demand outstrips supply.
