Indeed the issue with the Ferrari V12 is not the front (mid) engine, it's the weight... the balance is very good but the weight is a penalty. Due to the difference in weight distribution, the way to drive them is different but I bet a rear mid-engine V12 (which would suffer from the same weight penalty) would not be faster assuming both being driven properly.
Personally I think the car looks great, looking forward to seeing it in person when my local dealer finally gets it. A lot of haters for this car, but thats the world we live in....
So I guess if you favor the Pista or other model your a hater. All Ferrari's are great cars. People like what they like.
this has probably been answered in previous 2,350 posts but, are those engine compartment, hot air exhausts/vents under the tail lights on each side? or are they solid black panels?

I think both are great but personally Im not a fan of the two tone roof. But I love both colors. Also- if you go with the white- you have yellow calipers and red stripes on the seats- I'm more of a matching guy with colors so id choose the same colors for the calipers and the stripes.
I can't believe I am saying this but I like the red better than the white for these two examples. I agree with SoCal that you should think about matching the calipers with any interior accents. You dont have to but I think it flows better.
Ignore the interior I just asked to change colour for the purpose of comparison. I was half tempted to go for Italian flag stripes on the seat
Red really suits the F8 and that is why I chose it. I also am of the opinion that the calipers should be red as should the interior stripes and contrast stitching.
I think this is so subjective- you really cant go wrong with either choice- having said that- if it was me- here are a few suggestions: Dont do the contrast roof- I like the streamlined look of the mono colored car White with Tri Colors (Italian flag) stripes is HOT! Looks great. If you do white- I think it looks better with exterior carbon- if you do a dark color- I dont think the carbon has as much impact. If you do Rosso- toss up. My old 488 was Rosso but I had a ton of carbon- I liked it The sill below the door- do it in carbon or black- it "slims" up the car I dont like those wheels- I'm a fan of the single spoke - these just look busy to me. Match calipers with interior as was mentioned At the end of the day- these are merely suggestions and the car is your pallet to do with what you choose and both choices above you really cant go wrong.
