It's a color copy, not the original.

Yes, correct, and before you get your copy they do blank off (erase) all the internal numbers for engine, gearbox and rear axle.

I'm aware of that, Tom, and that is, amongst other things, what makes the certification worthless.

Well, I like the way the seller writes "7 available". Did his copier break?

Come to think of it, I have build-sheets from an LM, albeit in b&w, so reduce price the 10 USD, make 1.000 copies....Oh, and these have nothing blanked off, so price goes to 20 USD again. I'm going to be rich!

The point is that the factory does not want to release the internal numbers so that other people cannot fake parts or restamp numbers.
Factory charges an additional US$ 1'000 for a set of build sheets (with blanked off numbers) once your car has been certified.

    Marcel,

That makes sense but only to a point: if you have the original at hand, you can reproduce or re-stamp including the correct internal numbers. Apart from that, a lot of the internal numbers are known anyway, not least to you but to a number of people. I really don't see the point.

To have a set of build-sheets for any particular car is nice, but for a normal production car it seems somewhat superfluous, while for a competition car it would make sense if subsequent modifications by the factory were in an addendum, but afaik they are not.

1000 bucks for a couple of colour copies seems a little excessive; the person making the copies is probably the person within SpA making the largest return on investment.

When a body is made new by a NON ferrari classiche company you will not get a certificate. You'll have to bring it so them, they will chop it off, bring it to their italian carrozzeria friends and then it is oke. A chassisno. which has always been on a certain place is not correct anymore according to FC.......even if the chassis is x-rayed, material tested etc etc and all docs/history show that THIS IS REALLY original: answer: NO, needs restamping by FC.
I am not kidding! And not speaking of cars with 'two chassisnumbers' done by the factory.........but they will not admit (for this moment)

I would like to have the build sheet for 275gtb 8933. I almost got a copy 5 years ago when Ferrari was offering them for free. They changed the policy just as my request was going through.
