Man, it's bad enough to make a mistake like that but now you've got to also worry about it making the web and the whole world giving you the Nelson "Ha ha!!!!". I feel bad for the guy.

Every time we get a car here and I help take it off I think of these pictures. This and having my truck slide into the water at the boat ramp are two things I hope never, ever happens.

The dealer is blaming the guy for not setting the emergency brake hard enough? WTF? Who relies on the emergency brake for anything?
What's the circled piece laying on the ground - looks like part of the truck bed?

at least they were using turn signals...not sure how you signal to other cars that you are about to take the plunge...

    That is a sad picture.

I bought my first F car from Long Island NY. I had the car transported to Cental Florida. Everything turned out fine.

    Sad

    evidently

It looks like that piece/section fallen on the ground is why the car fell off; the bottom fell out literally from underneath half the car, so it looks.

I doubt an e-brake applied would have made any difference. I can see why the dealer wants make accusations --they had to buy the car for it to be delivered to them. From what I understand, whenever you see cars in a showroom and dealer's lot, they have bought every one of those cars from the manufacturer.

If the dealer doesn't sell the cars, the dealer itself hurts, not the manufacturer. This car here, the damage, has to be eaten by the dealer. They're trying to get out of that situation.

That looks like a hard hit, too, from a good bit of an elevation. The jarring of the whole car may have damaged things you would never see. It's hard to say. Maybe it damaged very little but body panels. Regardless, to repair a Ferrari like that will be a total money-losing situation for the dealer or for whomever is held liable. They're in the hole.

The part on the ground is the extendable portion of of the lift gate. Looks like it failed and snapped off the lift gate.

Most of the time the driver sits in the car when they operate the lift. I hope he or she did ok in the fall.

The car is toast. There is no way it could fall that far (it looks like it was up at the second deck) without serious damage to the frame rails.

Sucks -- another dead Ferrrari that someone could have given to me.
