Ferrari FF Passenger Display Retrofit Issue (CANBOX)

I recently bought a 2014 FF (pre-Geneva version) wihthout the passenger display, came accross a used unit on eBay for $500 and I bought it.

I installed it at a local mechanic and the passenger display didn't work, the mechanic told me it was the CANBOX issue because they had another FF at their place that time and they swapped the CANBOX to my FF and it worked (but with "System not Programmed" error) and they also put mine onto the other FF and it didn't work for that FF.

Weird thing is that the 2 canboxes have the same part number so there is not a special canbox for the passenger display, I concluded the "setting" must be inside the canbox, but the mechanic said they cannot program the canbox.

Then I purchased another canbox (used) which was originally from an FF witht the passenger display, installed and the passenger display lit up, happy, but with the "System not Programmed" error.

The mechanic did a system programming on my FF and the error was gone AS WELL AS the passenger display! Yes, the passenger display went OFF AGAIN!

The mechanic could not figure out why and now leave me with an extra canbox and a non-working passenger diaplay. I told him to restore the setting and make the diaplay work, I could live with the warning triangle sign but the said he couldn't.

I never looked at the passenger display or my pasengers so whether it worked or not doesn't bother me at all but the problem is - it was WORKING! There must be a way to make it work because it was working before the programming just with the error message.

I googled and couldn't find a solution so I want to ask if anyone here had any experience with the FF / F12 passenger display retrofit. Thanks guys.
