Awesome machines!
Congratulate me. I just ordered an FF: Bianco Avus with cioccolato and black stitching. November build. We will use it for cross country trips .. figuring 12,000 miles per year.
I have driven one several times and it is fabulous. It has remarkable performance at the same time as providing secure comfortable conveyance in all kinds of weather while loaded with lots of stuff. We will downsize from our SUV and with a little jiggling we will be able to get all our gear in it.

Presumably you'll be getting rid of the X5 and moving to the FF? Will be a big change! However, as you've already got a 458, everything will fall into place very quickly. I haven't spent much time in a 458, but I do think that the two cars are in fact fairly similar and share a lot in common. Size being the obvious difference, but as has been written many times before, the FF shrinks around you as you drive it. It really is a phenomenal every day car, but remains an exciting supercar all the same. I love mine. No less now than I did when I first bought it 15 months ago. In fact, the more you drive it, the more it seems to improve. You'll not regret it! Look forward to seeing the photos when it arrives. All you have to do now is wait!!
Yes. The X5M will have to go. We actually borrowed an FF from the dealer to make sure that we can get all our gear in it. And to our surprise, we could. It holds a surprising amount of stuff once you put the seats down. We travel literally across the country so the FF will give an opportunity to drive a Ferrari a lot more than the sports cars. In terms of driving dynamics, while the X5M is a great car, smooth and powerful, with surprisingly good handling, the FF is in a different universe. In some sense it splits the difference between the super SUV and the agile racing bike-like 458, but really closer to the 458 in handling and spirit. Probable arrival in January. Plan to do some light custom work (powdercoat wheels etc) and a clear bra (for desert travel). Will post photos when the time comes.

just went through as many of these pictures as time would allow/..... has anyone done a two tone FF. with the roof a different color.. I am curious how that would look... might make it look slick..
No pic, but I've seen one in person. I'm not a rosso Ferrari guy by any means, but I was staggered by how good it looked. It really suited the lines of the car. With a tan interior, it looked truly superb.
