I love many of the styling aspects. The rear lights pinched between the body like monocles. The shapes of the hood and how they align with the headlights. Think this concept is very interesting! The 612 looked too luxury oriented like a maybach or rolls Royce coupe and less like a sporty Ferrari. This new concept does a great job at looking less serious and more light, sporty, and fun. Remember people, this is a concept. Don't bash the whole car because of a feature that may not even be on the production version (the hunchback).
I think I'm in the small few that like this car, but I was also a fan of the Z3 coupe. I wouldn't mind owning one of these down the road.
Somewhere, in all those Ferrari dealerships are worldwide, the salespeople are huddled up coming up w/ a game plan- "How are we gonna sell this pig?"
I still think this is a bad segment for Ferrari. If you're in the market for 4 seat supermarket hatch, buy a Panamera Turbo and save $100,000, you'll probably get better car as well. The SF Badge on the side of the car can only carry so much burden to protect the brand.
LOL @ the "mit". Reminds me a WWII movie where the undercover german agent just betrays himself. Concerning the FF... Well that's an audacious design. As for now I don't like it.But just like 599, at the first sight I hated it,Now i adore it. I'm pretty sure I will find it awesome in white and in real life.
Not sure about US pricing of the 612 but if this one is significantly more expensive the markey just got smaller and these looks wont help either... Down here I can see the car costing around R4.5mil ex options, could be sometime before I see one, assuming anyone is brave enough to order one.
I really was hoping this was going to be my next Ferrari. Wanted a vehicle to use with my wife and my son and be in an elegant modern sophisticated Ferrari but stand out as a FERRARI. This does not appear to be it. The 612 is looking better everyday or a Bentley GTC convertible. No fire or desire to go and purchase a FF.
I like it; daring dparture form the 612 for Ferrari and I think a smart one. Let's face it, the 612 has been dead in the water for 2 years now. Ferrari HAD to do something significant to breath life into their 4 seater V12. This car actually looks BETTER than the 612, IMHO. Furthermore, it's higher performance and it will add significant practicality. The 4WD will add to it's appeal. I think as far as $300K 4 seater V12's are concerned, this car is unique and WILL sell. Bravo Ferrari!
It's something I'm going to have to see in person to really make a fair judgement. After seeing the video, I was impressed; especially when I saw it at the end of the video. I've never been too impressed with Ferrari's official photos. For example, when the first official photos of the California came out, I was left cold. But upon seeing one in person, my opinion completely changed and it's actually one of my favorite Ferraris. I think the same will happen with the FF. I believe that the reason we're left disappointed with the official photos is because (*flame-suit on*) they show the car in red. Now I'm all for Ferraris in red, but I believe that the FF will look 10x better in a darker color like the blue shown in the video. I think it will be gorgeous in colors like Grigio Silverstone, Rosso Fuoco, Nero daytona, Pozzi Blue, etc. Just my opinion though. -G.B.
Personally I love it. I also think more people will start to like it once it comes out, just like what happened with the 458 and California...
the artist drawings looked better than the real thing. what in the hell were they thinking. this thing is an abomination that only the sultan of brunei could dream up
it makes the 612 look absolutely orgasmic in comparison. they have lowered themselves to creating a big BMW
Ok, let me see if I have this right... You can afford a Ferrari, and you want something to drive in miserable weather. So you are going to buy a 4wd Ferrari??? Do you think that maybe you wouldn't just go out an buy a 4wd SUV or for that matter even a Cadillac with awd??? Hell, most Ferrari's don't ever get driven in the rain, let alone in the salt and slush of a real winter.. If the surface is slippery, ANY 4wd SUV will handle just as well and put down as much power as you need or want to. The higher ground clearance of an SUV is a key reason they don't get stuck in big snow, and this is low like any good sports car, so it isn't going to worth a darn in more than 6 inches of snow, 4wd or not. When the weather is nice the weight penalty of the 4wd system makes the car an even bigger pig. The idea of a "shooting brake" is ok, but and maybe it isn't really fugly, I'll reserve judgement until I see the whole thing, but the idea behind an AWD Ferrari is just plain dumb.. Enzo must be turning over in his grave...
Share your passion, completely disagree with your opinions. IMO you ignore much of Ferrari's history building beautiful, powerful GT cars. I have owned Ferraris from the 50s and 60s, and none would fit your requirements, yet all were beautiful and great to drive. I agree Ferrari should build Scuderia or Stradale, and Challenge and GT3, versions of each 8 cylinder model. But Ferrari should also build an achingly beautiful 12 cylinder GT. Not retro, but unmistakably Ferrari. I hope they do. Perhaps I attach way too much importance to it, largely out of sentiment, but when Andrea Pininfarina died I wondered if that was yet another step away from a glorious past.
2 inches taller than a 612. I just measured a Honda Civic 4-door in our parking lot... it's about the same height as the FF.
Made a few more changes, cleaned up the back, this is a little better IMO (original on right) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
