Hi. I have dreamed about driving a Ferrari away at my wedding since I first sat behind the wheel of one in Italy 3 years ago. My wedding is fast approaching, and I am looking for one to drive. Would any owners be generous enough to let me borrow/rent their Ferrari for one day in the summer? I have set aside a small amount of money (which is very substantial for those of us early in life) with which to thank the owner, though I am sure it would pale in comparison to the reward of seeing the smile on my face. If you are even willing to consider it, I would be willing to negotiate an amount with you. You would, of course, also be welcome to join my bride and I for a meal on us on our big day. Any suggestions on how to procure one for a day would be helpful. I am very responsible, but I am not yet 25, so renting from a professional rental place is out. Thank you for any help/suggestions you can offer.
You can always rent a Ferrarri in the Chicagoland area. Just Google Exotic car rentals Chicago for a list.
Skip the car idea. Let getting married be the event of the day, and focus your energy on that. Your day will be special enough.
I saw a guy on craigslist renting his Maserati for $250 or so a day, you should contact him, closest to a ferrari on a budget
Unless you are a personal friend of an Fcar owner, people usually don't lend out their cars. I would maybe ask your parents if they could rent it under their names and you just pay them.
You want a complete stranger to loan you a 200 K car for a day? You would pretty much have to leave your bride as collateral. And she better be a looker at that............
Instead of a traditional bachelor party, my brothers and I did the World Class Driving experience. You might still run into the age issue, but that's an easy way to get into a Ferrari for a day (and a Lamborghini, and an Aston Martin, and a Z06 ) But seriously, you will have plenty of time for Ferraris AFTER you're married. Don't lose sight of what's important, and congratulations in advance.
Many moons ago I promised myself that I too would drive away from my wedding in a Ferrari (its an honorable goal, that my wife & I both shared). And we did do just that. I assumed the car would be mine, but it was not (I had a Porsche 911 at the time instead). But the other thing I had was a good friend with a Ferrari. He had his daughter drop it off and bingo - the deal was done. Moral of the story? It had to be someone that I knew. I never even thought of asking strangers. Of course there was no Internet then either... Resourcefulness was completely different then. Nevertheless - keep at it. Don't listen to the naysayers. We still talk about it years & years later. If your marrying the right woman (like I did gents) that little detail will mean as much to her as it does to you. As a matter of fact I think I will walk out to the garage & see what she is doing to the Stradale right now... Image Unavailable, Please Login
