My wife and I will be vacationing on the Florida gulf coast in Cape San Blas at my beach house in September. I plan to drive my Boxer down. I was wondering if anyone living in the area would be interested in getting together for an evening out for seafood, bonfire on the beach, ect... The Cape is about 1/2 way between Panama City and St.George Island. You can check out the location at www.capesanblasvacation.com

We will be at the Cape from Sept 4 to Sept 11. Maybe we could meet at Toucan's Restaurant in Mexico Beach for dinner and libations. FYI, Mexico Beach is about 1/2 between Cape San Blas and PCB. Since we will have our kids with us, Toucan's has a great playground on the beach to keep the kids occupied while the adults converse, eat and ....

    Frank,

We will have our kids with us as well. Were going down with another couple and their kids... so meeting somewhere with a good playground and such is a definite bonus!

I am trying to figure some means of getting some babysitting while down there for several of the nights. Any ideas? Do you think there are services that could be had?

I believe the Seaside resort itself offers babysitting so I assume other resorts do as well. Are you guys staying at a resort or renting a house?

Well, we're here on the Cape waiting to see if Francis will come this way after she hits S.Fla.. Hopefully not, but I have made arrangements to board up the windows if she does meanger this far up to the panhandle.Due to other obligations we did change our time here to 9/1 thru 9/7. And , due to the weather decided to ride in my wife's H2 rather than drive my Boxer. Terry, are you still coming down for the holiday week ?

Not sure yet. It appears from the weather forcastes that our stay would basically be a visit to a tropical storm.... rain and high winds for about 80% of our time at the beach. Whats he point in that? So, were trying to change the dates but the property management company is giving us a very hard time. Their attitude is basically "screw you, pay me".
