I have a 355 and a 430. The 355 horn sounds the way a Ferrari should sound. Loud and shrilly. The 430 horn sounds like an Amerkan car; very disappointing. I prefer the 355 horn. Can I buy the 355 horn as a generic and install it on the 430?

certainly. itailan style horns are available from many sources. grigots come to mind. fiaa is the oem brand. paint them black and hide them leaving the stock units in place for concours.

Your dealer can change them out, I'll never forget when I pulled up to the dealer service door for the first time in my 430 and blew the horn, it sucked! I went inside and we tested different ferrari models with proper air horns, found the sound I wanted on the 456 and had Parts order them up. Easy install.

My friend put the Euro horn in his 16M. It's like you're in Europe. ;)

Here are 2 options. I think ferrari kissed a part of their heritage goodbye when they started installing chevy horns in the new cars.... I replace them all the time on 430's and 599's... The 430 job is pretty involved as the front bumper has to come off!

    Aaauuuughaa!!

La coocka racha, la coocka racha.

Some horns are emberassing sounding. I like having the right sounding horn. I thiink my 360 has the dreaded dead honk sound. Gotta change that.

I replaced my stradale horn with one from the 355. It is the proper sound. The stock 575 horn is quite good as well.

Agreed. My 360's horn sounds very un-European/exotic. Might as well be driving a Dodge pickup.

No as there is no place for them outside other than behind the bumper. I leave the stock ones where they are at and I install both trumpets inside the drivers side intake and the compressor goes inside the trunk behind the divers side fuse panel cover. I usually use extra hose which can be purchased at home depot.

just got back from the dealer with an estimate: 6 hours at $150/hour!!!!

i'm not about to take it to Joe's garage to swap out a horn.

    i guess i'm stuck with a 430 that has a lame Amurkan-car-sounding horn. :(

    Come on.

Removing the bumper and installing the horns takes about 3 hours max and that's taking time to drink diet cokes!

I am speaking from personal experience here.

Horns are under $200 if you use the OEM.

Harbor Freight has some for about $30.00.

    Your choice.
