    When in Morocco in 1996 I met a Moroccan man who had a motoring magazine dated approx 1995/6 that detailed taking a Ferrari to the desert at Erg Chebbi (edge of the desert) out from Erfoud or Merzouga. Does any reader know anything about the article and where I can get a copy? I need the info for a travel lecture. Any info would be a great help. Thanks

    "CAR" did this story. The Ferrari was an F512M. I don't have the backissue, but I have one of those retrospectives where they discussed the photoshoot. According to CAR, their competitors believed the photos had been faked. One of the photos was published in the retrospective and shows the F512M sitting next to a campfire with local natives. It's pretty cool.

    Anyway - I don't have the issue that discusses it here, but I'll have access to it when I go home in a month. Then I'll get more info about it.

    I saw a 308 in Essaouira last year. That was about it. Car was sitting there for a few days, but I'd like to see the pic from that article.
