Hey guys looking to join the ferrari owners community. Being up in canada our used market is quite limited. I found a car in Naples FL so was wondering if anyone can recommend a reputable tech that can go do a PPI for me? Thanks Mike
Mike, What are you looking for? I'm in sales at Ferrari Maserati of Ft. Lauderdale so please let me know if I can help... Hank Carpenter 336-516-3855 [email protected]
So the dealership isn't wanting to send the car to another shop and F1 imports refuses to have someone go to the dealer and check it out on a hoist there. Anyone have any other suggestions? the dealer is happy to let someone look at it on their own hoist, just wants to be able to supervise
Find a different car. Most places are happy to send a car over for a PPI. Not at their expense of course.
1997 yellow/black 355. Dealer claims last time they sent a car out, it came back missing parts/screws
We just left there a few days ago and the last night we were there a yel/blk spider was valeted outside the place we ate and upon leaving they ran the thing to redline (cold) in a little "macho" display. Absolutely NO WAY to know if it was the same car you are talking about, but as an owner it made me cringe.
I'm also looking to purchase a Ferrari in Naples from Black Horse Motors and need a suggestion on PPIs. F1 Imports came highly recommended but it's also the shop the dealer admits to having most of their work done at. I want to see if there are any other comparable companies that may not have a tie to the dealer. (go ahead call me paranoid) The dealer is open to mobile or delivering the car to a local place. Another name I've come across is Car Critic. Anyone hear of them? Finally, any experiences with Black Horse Motors, good or bad? Thank you in advance.
Darren at Black Horse Motors is top shelf. His cars are always immaculate and he is a gentleman to work with. BHW
Darren is the one we're dealing with He has been great so far, I've just been burned by a number of salesmen already in this search. Glad to hear a good things about him.
Have them bring the car to Rick Hunt of Hunt Automotive in Ft Myers. It is about 40 minutes north. Been working on Ferraris for 30 years and he knows 355s. He is very busy this time of year, though. Eric at F1 is great, but I changed to Rick to work on my 550 because he is so much closer to me. I could not be happier. Scott
I highly recommend both Darren (or Rob) at Black Horse and F1 imports and exotics for the PPI and all future repairs. I have known Darren and Rob for years now and both are very stand up guys and F355's seem to be their forte as they seem to always have a great selection of them and all of which are immaculate. F1 is very well known in the area for Ferrari and other exotics as well. Highly recommend. -Rian
