Quite some time ago I came across a site called "red indians" or something similar, which had a lot of interesting stuff re Ferraris in India. I'm sure there are many hidden away in garages around the country and used privately. Much as it would be a fabulous way to tour the country, I think I would feel a little awkward in a lot of places (I felt conspicuously bourgeois in many rural areas just travelling as an ordinary tourist).

No veyrons or any other exotic machinery in India. You have to know that most of the exotics cars which have been showcased have been bought in the last 5 yrs or so.Before that there were very few nice machines in India.India's golden years of cars were before independence during the rule of the maharajas. Lamborghini,bentley,porsche,rolls-royce all have dealerships in India. They sell around 15-20 cars each a year.Audi, merc and bmw have manufacturing facilities and they sell around 6000 cars cumulatively. The fastest in India are LP-640s of there are a few.
Hi, was just wondering about the GTR? is this an official import.. or was it imported by the owner himself. Its good to see so many exotics in Indian soil!!!
Wonderful to see....would love to take a trip to the motherland for a driving tour. Are Left hand drive cars completely banned ?
No the GTR has been imported by the owner himself. There are many more GTRs in India. Here are a few from Hyderabad and Mumbai. Yes GTR is imported directly from Japan because Indian law says that the car to be imported should be from it's country of origin.
nice to know, my nieces and nephews in Amritsar are complete car nuts ! Someday maybe, looking forward to the first F1 race
All these exotics belong to a single person from Hyderabad. Yes, he's a real state magnate. There are more like him in Hyderabad and many more in India. The other guy from Hyderabad is into newspaper industry. Probably he has a bigger and an even better collection. The other famous collector from India is "Spiderman" . He boasts of one of the best collections in India. Ferrari 355, 360, F430 (spider), Lambo Murcielago Barchetta, Merc SL 65AMG, etc etc etc are some of the cars of he owned or owns. He switches very fast between exotics possibly due to lack of parking space .
