Abstract Sculpture Inspired by Italian Design

This original sculpture was an experiment to create a piece that blurred the lines between fine and applied art. I wanted to create an organic form that was inspired by classic Italian design lines. Something that could be displayed in a living room as well as a collector’s garage.

Fabricated entirely by hand using an English wheel, hammers and dollies out of .050″ aluminum and finished in Rosso Corsa OEM paint. This sculpture stands just over 48″ tall. It rises out of an integrated concrete base.
